I photograph stories.
Photos matter. They are visual records of our experiences, ways of sharing beauty, communicating and understanding who we are. As humans our brains are hard-wired to create and share stories. We need them to help us understand our world. I have the great fortune as a photographer to step into people’s lives,
and to capture those moments that become part of our visual language as families, businesses and individuals.
I love to shoot real life images using natural light, capturing the gaps as well as the whole. The quiet moments, the unguarded moments, the strong and the soft.
Before I realised I wanted to photograph the world, I had some great experiences in my working life.
I managed an architectural practice in London, studied Spanish in Barcelona and poured beers in Edinburgh. The bulk of my career was managing big clients in the Advertising industry. I've also studied Commerce, Environmental studies and Photography.
